We've officially hit our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY milestone of being open for business - it's so exciting.
We remember hitting the "publish" button so clearly on our Etsy Marketplace store for the first time 10 years ago. What was going to happen? Were we going to get any orders? How quickly? Were we prepared? It was a rush.
But let's get real. It took three months for our first Etsy sale to come in. Three Months.
During this time we were building our e-commerce platform and got that up and running. We devoted full time hours to the business, working in a small garage, doing anything to create traffic and momentum for this gig we put our hearts into. We wrote daily blogs, and invested all our time in photography and building our Instagram platform (@anewalldecor). We just wanted people to love it as much as we did.
Slowly (but surely) orders started to come in, and the momentum started to grow. Here is a simple time line of Anewall's evolution over the last 10 years.
Years 1 & 2 - slow momentum and growth, mastering the manufacturing process and slowly getting more orders.
Years 3 & 4 - we needed to hire some extra hands to cut all the mural orders we were getting as we partnered with Anthropologie and Pottery Barn.
Year 5 - we needed a larger office space and more equipment.
Years 6, 7 & 8 - we expanded our design inventory and even tried out marketing some new products.
Years 9 & 10 - amazing years of growth both personally and professionally.
Our families have grown. There are now five children between the two of us and our roles in the company have also changed over time as we balance our work and family lives. We have an amazing team of staff who handle all of our daily operations and they keep this business running efficiently and with so much heart.

I feel so blessed again in my marriage after Doctor Oku brought back my husband that separated with me for a good 3 months.
