Artist Feature | Tessa Brown Art

Welcoming that familiar feeling of nostalgia to her artwork, is our newest design collaborator, Tessa Brown Art. She is a well established artist and impressionist from Kyle, Texas who immersed herself fully in the art world from a very young age.
Her paintings first caught our eye a couple years ago so we are so honoured and inspired that she has created a 3 piece collection for us here at Anewall. This is the perfect collection to kick off FW24.

We wanted to get to know her a little bit better and thought you would too. Besides, some of you will be filling your walls with these beautiful designs and knowing a little about the artist makes it so much more meaningful. Let’s dive into the inspiration behind the pieces.
-------------------------------
Here’s what Tessa had to say in our recent interview -
When did you know you wanted to become an artist? Is there a specific moment that stands out to you?
My other is very creative so she definitely helped foster my artistic side from a very young age. In elementary school I entered an art contest (that she very. much helped me with -ha) and I wont three years in a row. (Thanks, mom.)
In middle school I picked up art as my first elective and the rest was history. I loved drawing, painting, color theory, quirky art assignments that were weird and symbolic and emotional. It really felt like the class was meant for me. My art teacher was amazing, and I made great friends. I took art all through high school as well. I think high school was when I really, seriously started dreaming about what it would look like to be an artist vocationally one day.
How do you balance finding time to be creative/work and motherhood?
When my friends ask me this question, “How do you do it all?” I simply reply, “Oh I don’t!! You should see my house. It’s a mess.” And I’m being quite serious. Every day I choose to paint, there is something that goes undone. Whether it’s dishes, laundry, or a much needed nap. So I have to find a balance. Some days I have to say no to painting so that I can fully embrace taking care of my kids and the house or taking them to appointments. Some days I paint while the kids take a nap. During the school year they both attend a Mother’s Day out program part-time which gives me a few hours a day to dedicate to my art.
Do you ever get creatively “stuck”? If so, how do you snap out of it?
Yes, completely! If I paint the same subject too long I often get bored. Switching between landscapes, clouds, abstracts, etc. helps me keep my creativity flowing.
Or similarly, if I’ve been painting small scale, changing things up to a big canvas, or vice versa also helps!
And in general, I think it’s important to listen to my body. If I feel tired, I’m likely not going to paint anything I love. It’s probably better for me to rest, go on a walk, or read … something that will refresh me. There are times where I get these “creative bursts” where I just know in my gut if I go paint right now, something magical is going to happen. When I feel this way, I try to make painting a priority, even if I have a long to-do list, because most of my best creative work comes from those times.
If you could describe your artistic style in one word what would it be & why?
Ahhh! Such a tough one. I’m stuck between two - so I’ll give you both!
First, I would say “emotional” … my pieces definitely have an emotional, heart connection for me and I really try to let that come through in the work. I use words like moody, whimsical, haunting, hopeful to describe a lot of my work… but all of those point back to an emotion. I want the pieces to feel like memories - art you connect to because you feel something.
Second, I would say “beautiful” … which probably sounds silly or cliche (and obviously subjective! Lol) but I really love beauty and want to make the world more beautiful and I want that to show in my art.
How often do you release new original collections? Wheres the best place to purchase your artwork?
I release new pieces every month, sometimes weekly, sometimes every couple of weeks. The best way to stay updates is to follow along on Instagram @tessabrownart, and on my email list which you can sign up for on my website, tessabrownart.com. Also, all of my available works are listed there!
Here at Anewall ...
We are excited to announce our new collection in collaboration with Tessa Brown. Enjoy these new wall murals added to our shop and available at anewall.com today!

HOW I RECOVER MY MONEY FROM CELEBRITY SCAMMER

I’m still trying to process the emotions after being scammed by a celebrity impersonator who I thought I had fallen in love with. They convinced me to send $200,000 in Bitcoin, leaving me heartbroken and financially drained. BUT, thanks to the expertise of jetwebhackers, I was able to recover my money and report the impersonator! I’m grateful for their help in bringing me justice and warning others about these types of scams. Please be cautious and don’t let your emotions cloud your judgment like I did. #scamalert #celebrityimpersonator #bitcoinrecovery
